Porsche 911 Design Key Conversion
As an alternative to the standard keyhead, a "Design" key housing is now available. By simply transferring your old key blade, circuit board, and transponder chip, you can upgrade to this new design. No reprogramming is necessary, it is a direct swap of the internal parts. The Design key is only available for keys with two-buttons (central locking system and front trunk lid), and features a flashing "911" in red. This will fit a 2001-2004.5 Carrera 996 (except Targa). Also fits Boxster models with a one or two button remote (1997-2000). NOTE: This keyhead is empty, you must transfer your current key "guts" to this keyhead. This is a shell only, no electronic internals are included.

Generation 2 (997) Remote Key Head
Upgrade to the newer 2009-style key head! Features a black key housing with a chrome key holder at the top. This housing looks and feels more substantial than the stock housing. Fits 2005-2009 Carrera models. This housing can be used as a replacement key or as an upgrade:
• If you need a new key, you can have this programmed by your local dealer.
• If you don't need another key, but you prefer the newer look, you can transfer over the inner guts from your stock remote housing. No programming would be required for this swap, just a small flat-head screw driver and some patience.

Key heads are non-returnable. Intended for US market vehicles only, please contact us if you have a Euro spec car.

Upgrade to the newer 2009-style key head! Features a black key housing with a chrome key holder at the top. This housing looks and feels more substantial than the stock housing. Fits 2005-2009 Boxster or Cayman models. This housing can be used as a replacement key or as an upgrade:
• If you need a new key, you can have this programmed by your local dealer.
• In some cases, you may be able to transfer over your current "key guts" to the new key housing. No programming would be required for this swap, just a small flat-head screw driver and some patience.

Key heads are non-returnable.
