| General notes on our automotive wires
Our wires are imported directly from Europe to get correct sizes and colors for European cars. All wires are made up of a number of copper strands. Generally, these strands are .20mm and .30mm in diameter. For each wire size, we supply the cross-sectional area in Sq. mm and the continuous Amp carrying capacity.
Wire insulation
Our wires have the modern automotive high-performance hard-grade PVC "thinwall" a.k.a. "TXL" insulation. This insulation, as the name suggests, is thinner but can carry higher loads and resists better to abrasion and cut-through than standard automotive wires. Heat-resistant to 105ºC (221ºF) with accepted temparature spikes to 125ºC (257ºF)
About our colored wires
When 2 colors are indicated, the 1st color is the main color and the 2nd color is the "tracer", usually 2 thin traces of color running straight down the wire.
Wire lengths
Wires are sold by the meter (3 1/3 Ft.) Adjust the quantity in the shopping cart to order the desired length (quantity 1 = one meter). Wires will be shipped uncut, in the length equal to the number of one-meter items ordered.
