Q: How do the V-Flow Air Induction Systems make so much more power than a typical air intake?
A: The V-Flow Air Induction Systems utilize a custom filter with a 6" mouth, where are a typical air intake filter has a mouth that is between 3-4". Inside of our custom 6" filter mouth is a custom "Venturi" that creates a vacuum effect for cold air. These two components along with the air box design, allows for a much higher volume of air to enter the motor. The more cold air you can get into the motor, the more power you will see.
Q: How hard is the V-Flow to install?
A: The V-Flow installation is very simple. All V-Flow systems are direct replacement, bolt-on kits. There is no cutting or drilling necessary to install our systems, and we have full installation instructions available online.
Q: Will the V-Flow make my car louder?
A: The V-Flow air induction systems add an aggressive, sporty tone. You will notice that after the V-Flow is installed you will be able to hear the car sucking in air. This is partially due to the fact that the stock Porsche airboxes are heavily baffled so that the cars are as quiet as possible. The V-Flow systems eliminate that baffling completely. This is a positive feature because the baffling that is part of every stock Porsche intake system creates a restriction that robs horsepower. The V-Flow system is guaranteed not to create any annoying interior cabin resonation.

Carrera 997/997S EVO V-FLOW Air Induction Kit |

The EVO system delivers more power and torque while completely isolating the air filter from the engine for a denser intake charge. Power is increased by about 10 - 12 wheel HP/TQ. Engineered utilizing state of the art CAD CAM 3D modeling, CNC machining, computer controlled Superflow air flow testing, rotational molding, injection molding and countless man hours, these systems represent the apex of air induction technologies. All EVO systems install in the factory location and utilize the OEM “ram air” fresh air ducts for lower air intake temperatures and added power. Additionally, EVO systems also incorporate a custom cotton air filter and a 6” injection molded Venturi that acts as a vacuum for cold-air. This intake is being utilized by almost every Porsche 997 participating in the Grand AM Cup GS series due to its consistent and reliable power gains. These race teams require real results and rely on the benefits of our intake system for their race cars. Note: These kits are now shipping with a new Evo filter, replacing the K&N which caused some fouling of the air sensor. 986 Boxster EVO HighFlow Fresh Air Intake System HP Gain 8-10HP. Engineered for maximum power and sound. This engineered system eliminates the OEM restrictive airbox and incorporates a HighFlow aFe cone air filter and sealed fresh air chamber. A cone filter has superior air flow characteristics as compared to flat panel filters. The cone filter better shapes the air as it enters through the filter for smoother straighter more formed air. Next, we have CMC machined a MAF housing to the exact tolerances of the OEM housing for precise MAF reading and NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS. In addition, the sealed air chamber sections off the cone air filter from the engine compartment so that it can only draw cool outside air for more power. Finally, the system is injected molded from crosslink polyethylene which has the lowest thermal conductivity rating of any single-layered moldable material available on the market today. This is key in keeping intake temperatures low and increasing power.

NOTE: Regarding Factory Warranty
By law, a dealership is not allowed to void a warranty based upon having aftermarket parts installed on a car. When you add an aftermarket part to the car, the aftermarket part will void the warranty of ONLY the stock part it is replacing. What that means is if you add an intake, the only part of the warranty that should be voided is that of the OEM intake. That is where consumers need to be sure to choose an aftermarket company that stands behind their products and offer warranties on what they sell.
